Clear Brew Cornwall gear up once again to swap the cellar for the seas

The team in Cornwall are once again taking part in a Dragon Boat Race this July, all in aid of an oar-some non-profit organisation. Here you can find out more about their mission and how you can support them!

What is Dragon Boat Racing?

If you are not familiar with Dragon Boat Racing, it’s an exhilarating water sport that allows teams to come together and compete in canoe-like vessels. Having had so much fun taking part for the first-time last year, the team in Cornwall leaped at the chance to sign up again. They were proud to have ranked 7th out of 29 (missing out on the final by 1 place!)

Team Captain, David, told us that they are “very excited to be once again taking part in the Dragon Boat Race and raising money for Speak Out United, a local football club that focuses on mental health support. We appreciate all the support and donations and will be matching any donations up to our target value of £500. We would also like to say a huge thank you to all our sponsors for helping us make this happen.”

When and where is the event taking place?

Location: The Working Boat, Falmouth
Date: Saturday 26th July 2025

About the chosen non-profit organisation

Speak Out United FC are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where individuals can come together, play football, and momentarily escape their worries. Through their various teams, including the under-seven girls, under-ten girls, under-eight mixed, under-nine mixed, men’s Saturday, and men’s Sunday teams, they aim to foster a sense of community and promote positive mental well-being.

Your donation would help Speak Out cover the expenses of pitch costs, balls, kits, and First Aid supplies.

YOU DONATE, CLEAR BREW CORNWALL WILL MATCH IT

The Clear Brew Cornwall team appreciate all donations and have made a pledge to match any donations up to their target value of £500.
